Started while presenting her first ever demonstration, in front of a live audience of 40 people, this series of paintings was aptly inspired by the beautiful, emotive song “People” from the Broadway musical (and film) “Funny Girl” which was sung with so much virtuosity and feeling by the amazing Barbra Streisand. The pieces were finished later in the studio. (Please note that this photo is slightly clipped to 14 x 14cm of the whole piece)
