Music is a language that helps us understand ourselves. There is a whole science to understanding written signatures. This group of works was based on the play of words in terms used for our written signature for documents, an artist’s signature on an artwork and a time signature on a musical score. If you know me personally, you would not believe that my two signatures are this bold and confident. The music included here is the oldest known score for the piano – from the 18th century. Earthy tones and textures ground us physically while music uplifts us spiritually beyond ourselves.
