At the suggestion of a friend, I recently joined a local choir group and this was one of the songs in the chosen repertoire. I had never been in a choir before, but it re-ignited my love for singing and gave me more confidence. The energetic choir leader and the confidence building course leader of an online course I was taking at the same time helped me to reach for colours, formats and materials I wouldn’t usually go near – small, orange and paper. What resulted was a fun, bright series where the music could be more prominent, like my voice singing a song from my youth.
